I have been suspended for one term by my university. What can I do to retain my status as a student? Will it affect my PGWP? If yes, is there any way to prevent it?

Reason for suspension? I think you will need to provide more details for someone to understand the situation and answer it properly.

Thanks, will the suspension affect my current studies? I am outside of Canada as of right now. Is there any way (like a loop hole) to still qualify for PGWP?

I meant, would the suspension affect my current on-going studies? Could I join my university after the suspension or would I have to leave Canada for good?

I dont think anyone can force you to continue your studies. You can definitely re join provided your university allows you to do so.
Which program are you into? Which university?

How did you cheat? And how were you caught?
Maybe you can educate others here on how not to cheat or get caught.

I googled answers for some test, I think my profs posted fake solutions on the internet with very specific type of unique mistakes which they use to identify the plagiarism. Any way, I heard that the university should report the suspended student to IRCC, then the student loses their status. Will I face any issues at the airport when entering Canada again after the suspension?

https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...rs/dli-portal/compliance-reporting-guide.html

Status is reported twice a year

Periodic verification – Twice per year, in the spring and fall, DLIs report on the enrolment status of their international students, as of the date IRCC sends the compliance reporting request. DLIs have 60 days to complete the compliance report through the DLI Portal.

Ad hoc verification – IRCC may send an ad hoc verification request. DLIs must respond to the request within 10 business days and return the results to IRCC by sending an email to the DLI mailbox.

The profs didn't post fake solutions.

All major North American universities have tools / systems that allow them to automatically review test answers and essays to identify plagiarism. This isn't new. It's been in place for some time now.
