I believe that it is the first application and that you don't need a transition plan. But maybe it would be better if they call the MIDI (there is no waiting on the phone)

Also my lawyer is taking a lot of time to get the LMIA ready. Generally how many days will it take to complete or ready the the file for LMIA?

Hi Tanya,
I had a friend helping me with filling out the documents. It took us like a day. Of course most of the time it was to check if everything was right.
If your job code is eligible for the facilitated proceed it should be easy and quick for them.
If I remember well after submitting everything I received the LMIA in two weeks, after that I applied for work permit which I received it in 6 months.

Hi all, I just finished filling out my LMIA application which I will send out through my employer.
Below are the steps that I followed for anyone who might need it.

Below are the steps I followed. (QUEBEC)

things to do for immigration: send to both the federal (Canada) and provincial (Quebec) entities all the necessary documents.

Step 1 : Call the employer contact centre to make sure you can submit the Facilitated Process for the LMIA Application
Your job code: **** is in the list of jobs eligible for the facilitated process

If you are eligible for the facilitated process you don’t need to provide proof of recruitment or transition plan!!!!

Step 2: Submit the LMIA to the Federal entity

LMIA processing fee is of $1,000
- no transition plan needed
- you can apply for facilitated LMIA process

The LMIA can be submitted online

a. Complete and sign the LMIA application form (EMP5626) and indicate Facilitated Process (at the top right it says Quebec Facilitated Process)
Document: LMIA English


Step 3: Submit the LMIA to Quebec (in French)

a. Complete and sign the LMIA application form (EMP5626) in French
Document: LMIA French - Poste à haut salaire - Demande d’evaluation de l’impact sur le Marché du Travail

b. Complete and sign the Self Declaration by the employer form (A-0700-CF)
Document: Declaration Employeur - Immigration-Quebec_A0700CF

c. Complete and sign the work permit form (A-2700-CF)
Document: Contrat de Travail - Immigration-Quebec_A2700CF

d. Complete and sign the CSQ form (A-0506-CF) (You have to fill and sign this one)
Document: CAQ - Immigration-Quebec_A0506CF
You need to indicate “Traitement simplifié” on the form

With this you need to give the following document:
- photocopy of passport indicating name, date and place of birth, signature
- photocopy of your CV, updated
- photocopy of your diploma and grades
- proof that you have the relevant work experience (letter by Primo and Casa di Patsi for example)


e. Pay the fees associated: $404

f. Send the documents to the following address:

@Theo_S Please help to clarify the below queris,
1. In EMP5626 form, there is no box in any of the section to mention NOC job code for which we intend to apply under Quebec facilitated process for specialized occupation list, in such case how the LMIA officer would know which NOC code we are applying for?
2. Did your employer submitted job offer letter as well along with LMIA application?

There should be a checklist somewhere.
If I remember well I didn't have to send these.

Also depends on whom do you send.
For Quebec, I sent:

-LMIA in French without the payment page filled in the end.
- company registration
- Contract de Travail
-Declaration of employment
- Payment receipt
- The two supporting documents (attestation from layer and from an auditor)

For the federal:
-LMIA in English with the payment page in the end.
-The two supporting documents (same as above)
-Pages 15 and 18 signed by hand.

No stress though. If there is something missing they will get back to you.
Within a few weeks you will receive an answer and then you will be able to apply for a work permit.

I am concerned also about my permanent position.

It is facilitated occupation.

In my case, there was no interview.

They called the company a couple of times just to ask them to correct some mistakes.

Other than that the whole process was fast. Maybe the fastest of all anything I requested so far.

What takes long is the work permit after.

Do you have any idea if non Quebec residents working remotely for Quebec company can also apply for Quebec LMIA?
My company is doing LMIA since 2 months. They are taking too much time and they aren't transparent with the process they are following. My work permit is expiring soon
