extention of a closed working permit

Hello!
I received a positive LMO a year ago and I was issued a closed working permit which will soon expire. Can somebody tell me if I need to apply for another Labour Market Opinion to extend my closed working permit or a simple letter from my employer is enough?

1. Employer has to re-advertise on the job bank and then apply for a new LMO and if you receive the LMO, you have to apply for a new work permit.
