Has anyone experienced extensive delay with IRCC following a successful provincial nomination?

If so, please share what have you tried so far and what has worked / no worked ?

Applied for PR in Feb. 2018. Quebec CSQ was approved in Jan. 2018

You need a lawyer to file writ of mandamus. Don't know your background but your application is complex.

I'm scared a mandamus might cause them to revoke or reject application in retribution.

Lawyer just keeps asking me to wait saying security checks are beyond IRCC control.

Any lawyer you recommend?

Keep thinking if I wait a little while more they might not do anything out of retribution

What do you mean "they might not do anything out of retribution"? What wrong have you committed? Why is your file complex?

I've not committed any crime, nor done anything wrong.

And I keep asking current lawyer same thing; why is it taking so ridiculously long?

I get the same reply, "CSIS checks are beyond IRCC timelines". And then I am asked to be patient.

Is there a poll here that indicates whether mandamus have resulted in positive outcomes / approvals?

That would certainly give me some confidence.

There is no poll. CSIS checks can take years depending on citizenship and countries live in.

Hmmm....well then it makes sense to have a poll on mandamus success for approvals, in my humble opinion.

Plus would help if folks shared which attorney was utilised.

What type of poll? Sample size for the forum would be so small...only a few people. Do so some research on IRCC data. Tell the moderators your ideas. Forum is run by Cohen Immigration, a law firm.
