Hi all,

Applied for an extension online. my TRV expires end of this month. In the event of a delay in Extension approval, what should I do?. Hope it doesn't take them a long time. Should I send a paper copy of the same just in case?.

Many thanks

Until they approve or deny it, you have implied status. My extension took two and a half months. I fairly certain that they waited to approve or deny until my husband was approved as Sponsor.

I don't have to leave country until that decision has been made on my extension application, right?. my husband is a Canadian citizen. I submitted my remeds in June, sent my RCMP report recently. Waiting is painful.. Every single day i check my emails with bated breath..

for visitor extension application online it takes 61 days and they are currently working on applications received last june 25, 2016.

For paper applications it takes 114 days or more. it depends. The result will be mailed to you one day.

No, you don't have to leave Canada.
