I am going to extend my closed work permit at Niagara falls border.
i believe i have to extend the work permit while coming back from US.

what i have to tell border officer while going to US (not return time)? i saw many said flagpole. what is mean by that?

You have to tell the US officer that you are Flagpoling, if he asks why, you tell him you want to renew your work permit. There is nothing to hide about that, they know already because people do that on daily basis. I also did that of recent. Flagpoling in this case means you left Canada but you did not enter US, so on coming back to Canada, it is a re-entry.
The officer at Canada will also ask you what you went to US for, you will also tell them you are flagpoling to renew your permit. They will just give you a yellow paper and ask you to go to Immigration office on the right side. That Immigration office may delay up to 6 hours, be very patient
