Extending my work permit after nomination - options?

Hi,
Im currently on 1 year Holiday Work Permit, I know I can extend my stay and continue working once I get my nomination.

My question is what options do I have? Ideally I would like to extend my work permit, but since it cant be extended for Polish nationals I wonder if they are going to give me implied status instead, meaning I am here legally but cant leave the country until I get my PR.

Did u apply through EE or PNP? u can probably get bridging work permit or closed work permit

Im not in the Express Entry pool. I wasnt sure bcos I heard it is not possible to extend it but I guess the nomination would be a good enough ground for it.

First: NO implied status for PR application itself. Implied status is allowed for extension from WP to WP.
Second: you cannot extend your WP with the nomination only. You need AOR and file#. A couple months after you apply for PR, you will get AOR and file#, then you can apply for BOWP to extend your stay.

So the steps are:

I get nomination from the Province
I sent an application to CIC office (paper based)
Once i received AOR and ref no I can apply for an extension of my work permit

I just received the ITA today and my permit expires in 4.5months.... it takes 3 months to get the nomination... It is looking a little tight for me...

I am a bit lost, isn't ITA Express Entry? In my understanding it was

No. ITA simply means an invitation to apply and it can refer to a paper based applications and Express Entry.

I never heard ITA Do u mean u got nomination letter?

Check if still running the option that if you have been or at least one year in Canada and are applying or PR inside Canada... you can send the form to extend your visa together with your PR file... so you get implied status while your PR is in process..

If not, depending your nomination, you may get a certificate to apply to extend your work permit with the nomination... and will be valid for a year...

Answer is easy for PNP:

Do u have permanent fulltime job in NOC 0, A, B?
YES Do u have enough of Canadian experience (depends on province it was 6 months for SINP i believe)?
YES u apply for SINP . SINP will take about 20 days + 45 days for AOR
NO get more experience
NO If you do not have permanent fulltime job, u will not get PNP nomination. Permanent fulltime job is almost like a guarantee that u will stay in province

Your employer is Canadian employer or are you employed through some international/abroad program to get experience, etc.?

This is my time frame:

March 22,2017 ITA received via PNP Skilled Worker stream
August 11, 2017 Expiry of Current work permit


I will submit my complete application to PNP first week of April. Their processing time is 3 months. That gives me 1 month to receive AOR from CIC office to be able to apply for extension of my permit.

Its looking tight.
