Extended family member applying for a TRV online

Hello,

My brother wants to apply for a TRV under the new policy which falls under the exemption. I read the requirements and I am confused about getting the written authorization for a new TRV.

IRCC website mentioned that we have to email them but in a different article, they mentioned the following for new TRVs:

"If you need a visitor visa but haven’t applied for one yet
Follow the instructions for How to apply for a visitor visa. We’ll assess your reasons for travel and make a decision on your visitor visa and your written authorization at the same time.

Remember to submit evidence to show you’re eligible to travel at this time."


Do we need to apply online, attach the IM0006 with the online application and they will send us everything including the written authorization OR we still need to email them to get the written authorization?

You need to apply online and fill the form as instructed and include the proof of eligibility you don't need to email.
