Hi my wife is graduating in May 2017. She recently started working Part time in NOC B job and is going to apply for PGWP. Her Study permit and my OWP expire July 2017. Can I renew my open work permit together with her or does she need a full time job before I renew. What other options are there for me to renew my OWP, currently working in NOC B job full time. How long is the processing time for extension?

Thank You

She needs to be working in a full time NOC A, B or 0 job before you'll be able to renew your OWP. There are no other options for you to renew your OWP since your OWP is based on her status.

Hi Scylla

I don't have my PGWP yet, but its coming soon. My husbands OWP expires on August 31, with the current processing times that takes more than a month, if I apply for my husband's OWP next week, what will happen to him after August 31?

Is he still allowed to stay and work in Canada, even though his application is still on the process?

Thank you in advance for your answer. :)

In CIC website it is not mentioned that you need a full-time job, only that you need to show them that this job is in NOC A , B or 0. I also talked to CIC on the phone and they confirm that if it's not mentioned on the CIC website that you need to show a full time, then you don't need to show the full time..
