Does anyone know about EOI?

Expression of Interest – Transforming Canada’s economic immigration programs

Will this help in our PR processing?

This one will start to use in 2015..EOI is the new process in Canada but very old in New Zealand. It mean the applicant must meet the point as the program require. They will contribute point by age, education, career, experience, language level and applicant status. The first step the applicants must send a complete form then the officer will scan point which meet score on level or not. If meet point as they require they will send letter of EOI for invite to apply PR later.

Exactly. They also launched a mordernized version in Australia as well. You can look that one up and see what the criteria is. Canada willl more than likely model its system after those that already exist - I believe the most up-to-date coming from Australia.

http://www.immi.gov.au/skills/skillselect/

SkillSelect is an online service that enables skilled workers and business people interested in migrating to Australia to record their details to be considered for a skilled visa through an Expression of Interest (EOI).

Existing Immigration Policies in Canada - Applicants choose Canada for immigration
EOI in Canada - Canada (CIC) choose the talent and immigrant for them.

As simple as that!

Read about EOI somewhere on the CIC website, but can't seem to find that article again.
Could someone please post the link?? ???

Thanks

Thanks everybody!
So it is going to be an invite for the PR. My PR is already in process and its eligibility and other stuffs need to be validated before CIC approves.

kprs_ind do not worry,EOI is intended for federal skilled workers not CEC so you are safe for now unless cic makes changes or implement their CEC rules sooner, which is i doubt it will affect you anyway since your application was already submitted and AOR was issued.
good luck

Thanks canadavisa13! I am trying to look for options to return to Canada when my PR application is in progress.
I did a big blunder by applying late under CEC. I could have continued to stay in Canada if I had sent my package during in the first week of January 2013. But I knew about the immigration programs in January. I should have known it earlier to secure my job in Canada.
Information is wealth! Right information at the right time is critical and it is a privilege, which everyone cannot get!

if your work permit and visa are still valid you can try coming back to canada and apply for a BOWP,otherwise you just have to wait for the outcome of your PR application and if you meet the eligibility requirements you will most likely get approved since CEC is a pretty simple and strict category.
once again i wish you the best and hope you achieve your goal at the end of this long immigration journey:)
