Well I would probably suggest you to take the test first IELTS is game changer. You need to get 8777 to claim maximum point for test and that will boost your score around 475 ( assuming master and 8777)

Which books should I follow for IELTS preparation as a beginner?

You should follow Barron’s IELTS book and Cambridge IELTS books (10 to 14).
I found them very fruitful and beneficial.
