I applied for a Permenant Residence in Oct 2013 and received an email telling me I had been placed into processing. The status has stayed this way for the best part of 8 months, does anyone know whether this implies that I have been approved or not?
In the mean time, my temporary work visa expires in Jan 2016 - tonight I tried to extend the work permit but incidently created an Express Entry profile and application by mistake, which I subsequently deleted after I realized that it wasn't the right form. I am nervous that this may jeprodize my previous permenant residency, can anyone confirm whether this is a risk to me?
Also, it looks like if I apply to extend my work visa I am not allowed to travel until a decision has been made. Therefore I am hoping to apply after I return from my travels on October 17th. Am I correct to assume that I can still work in Canada even if a decision is not made until after my work permit expires?
