Hi there,
My cousin recently got BC PNP for the Early Childhood Educator work. While filing her application she had the points for "Currently working at offered Job" and those points helped her to get BC PNP invitation and then once she got her PNP approved and it was added to Express Entry. She got the invitation and now entering details.

Now while filing application form in the Express Entry under this question -

Does XXX have a job offer in Canada?

The offer must:

  • be for full-time and for at least one year
  • meet different requirements depending on type of job (i.e. some need apprenticeships and certification) and
  • be non-seasonal for Federal Skilled Workers.

She has selected No but just bit confused if the PNP she got was based on a job offer accepted and currently working on it then what should it say Yes or No? Does how the PNP was approved need to be reflected in the Express Entry or that is completely separate process.

Just wanted to know some thoughts. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance

This question is for people with LMIA jobs. I believe that if they answer YES to that question, it'll then ask if it is supported by an LMIA, where they would answer NO. Or just answer NO to the first question in the first place and then provide all the documentation they sent for the BC PNP process.

The application needs to be consistent. Does she have a job offer where she is currently working? She was likely selected based on that criteria so if she no longer has the job offer yes that is an issue.

Unless she's an International Post Graduate, every possible BC PNP nominee needs a valid job offer. I don't see how she can answer "No" to a requirement.

She is still working at that position. She is been working on that position since September 2024.

She got invited for the targeted invitations for Early Childhood Educators in BC and at that time job offer was submitted. And her BC PNP was approved. However, now since her BC PNP's requirement was the job offer so we are just bit confused if need to say YES in the Express Entry or NO since there are no points for it in the CRS and not to complicate the case.
