Express entry question

Hi guys ,
Please help as the next draw is near 22 jan.

my question is I made the express entry profile first time and got the invitation but after realizing i made some mistake in my profile, i will decline the invitation. My score is 474 right now.
As i know after declining the profile will be active in pool.
So the question where it says “ have you applied to express entry before”
I answered NO
Because it the first express entry that i made
But after declining invitation “ do i neec to change my answer to Yes?

"Application" means paying the application fees and starting the process. You haven't. So NO is the correct answer.

But some of the people have done yes and then they put their previous express entry profile number ? Why this so

Sorry guys, i have one more question.
When i created my profile, i put my UCI as on my work permit.
After the express entry profile is created, a new UCI is created.
Which UCI do i use in express entry profile after declining ITA?
