Guys! One help.

I have just submitted my EE profile and received 50 points for work exp ( full points with CLB9).
My work exp details :-

1. May 13 to Aug 15
2. Nov 15 to May 16
3. Sept 16 - current job.

I was wondering how did I get 50 points, despite not completing exact 3 years.
Could any of you review and suggest on this plz.

Thanks
Narinder

You get 50 points bonus for having IELTS score on CLB level 9. The points are calculated together with work experience.
So, you got it under "English efficiency and foreign work experiences" Not only for the work experience.

Hope it helps.

No, you have an open work permit. You do not qualify for those 50 points.

You would need LMIA or a work permit with your employer's name on it.

Cheers ;)

Hi A.DelPiero07,

So since guys like him and I can no longer claim 600 points as per new rules, how are we supposed to make up for it? :'(

1 - Max your IELTS scores
2 - Get foreign work experience
3 - Study in Canada to get 15 to 30 extra points
4 - Learn French

Cheers :)

Hi again,

Thanks for responding so soon! First of all FORZA JUVE!!

now, i already have 4 years on foreign WE, to go along with an MBA from Canada (2 years). I also have 1 year of WE in Canada (current job).

The problem now is that i no longer have the 600 points i was guaranteed in the earlier system. So how do i make up for that 600? I'm on a PGWP so i'm essentially getting ZERO from that 600. :-\

What is your CRS? - You should be getting 30 extra points for your Masters.

If I assume perfect english scores, your foreign work experience, canadian experience and masters you should be above 500 points which is basically an ITA.

Cheers ;)

We received ITA on Nov 16. Need to upload documents . Have a few questions-

For proof of funds , is it allowed for family to contribute money in my bank account and if so how much money can be given as gift deed ? Does he have to give in one installment or can he give in three installments?
Where should I upload the ielts and WES as the education tab has space for only one upload ?
How much money is required for a family of two?

1 - It can be more than one installment.
2 - You can upload them in the education section (merge them all). However it is not mandatory to upload your ielts as they can check your results with the test result number that you've provided.
3 - $15,143

Cheers ;)

Your assumption is almost perfect. My CRS was 446 before this revision happened. now it should be 476 (as you said). I'm 31 so that takes away some points, and my English test only got me 122 out of 138 (guess i didn't take it that seriously). you think 476 will be enough or do i need to get those 16 remaining points via IELTS to improve my profile? ;D

I think it is a great score and you will eventually receive an ITA with that score.

Cheers ;)

Thanks man! I also realized (thanks to our conversation) that i'm only getting 25/50 for my Foreign WE (4 years). If i get that fixed somehow, i'll get into 500s. Cheers ;)

I just received a additional documents request to submit my bank statement prior to submitting application to Ontario and recent 6 months statements.

I had submitted Fixed Deposit statement along with my application.
1. Now is it mandatory to submit my bank statement or should I simply provide another letter from Bank related to FD to prove that it's still intact & Affidavit from dad as its a gift!
2. Why are they asking recent bank statements when the amount is shown as Fixed Deposit?

I am just biting my nails here. :'(

If any of you might have ran into similar situation or aware of this, suggestions are invited ;D

You get maximum CRS points for 3 years of FWE. Anything beyond that doesn't award you any CRS points.

Thanks!

So i should be getting 50 then, right? I have 4 years of FWE. I'm getting 25 so far. May be i made a mistake in filling the form...?

Do you have CLB-9 (8777 LRWS) in IELTS ? Because you'll get 50 points only if you have a CLB-9 AND 3 or more years of work experience.

Points for foreign work experience + CLB 9 or more on all four first official language abilities = 50 points

Points for foreign work experience + CLB 7 or more on all first official language abilities, one or more under 9 = 25 points

Ah makes sense now! I'll have to redo it then. I have 8/6.5/7.5/7.5.

Thanks, this explains everything.
