Dear all, I know that it takes about 6 months for a final decision after submitting the documents. Is this period valid now? Does already submitted application take as much if they just ask some new documents?

No, this processing time is no longer valid. This was pre-COVID. It's taking much longer now. If IRCC requested additional documents, then you can expect even further delays.
