Hi Guys,

Any Dec AOR PNP inland applicant got background status change from NA to IP2 recently?
I am a Dec AOR PNP inland applicant my BKG is NA for the past 2 months and I m in my 6 month now. I am worried why my BKG check is no changing to IP2..
Please share guys

My BG changed to IP2.
It's been a heck of a wait. Last update on my file was February 1st. Almost 3.5 months of Not Applicable.

Hi Guys .. Can I check 1 thing .. My status for background check was initially .. '.. the next step is to do background check ..'. Then it got changed to '.. we are processing your background check ..'. Now my question is, I have read somewhere that there are 2 background checks i.e. IP1 and IP2. I never saw BG NA status under my CIC account. So based on above information, am I on the 1st background check status or 2nd?

I had posted the same question. But no response. apparently nobody has a clue.

BG checks used to have a trend with the old way of update, from Not needed to not started to not needed to in progress. With the updates, it chaged to IP then to NA then to IP again. These changes r triggered by the action carried on the application and it is hard to tell what these actions are. One thing to be sure of is that as the BG is progressing, your application is moving forward.
