I am december applicant

I thought you were asking about the general trend of the processing times for CEC. If your question is only about December CECs, then I don't think there is enough data to give an estimate IMO.

Following Schedule A request yesterday, which I submitted immediately and it is 'provided' my Background check has gone back to 'not needed' after 7 weeks and 1 day of being in progress.

Is this good?

Oh my god, really! I attach the whole email here. Is there something wrong with my application or I selected wrong category when ordering GCMS notes? I am very confused now

------>

This is to acknowledge receipt of your request submitted pursuant to the Access to Information Act received by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada on February 6, 2017 for the following records:

the electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship officer(s) for the permanent residence file concerning <My name>

We regret to inform you that we are unable to process your request for the following reason:

· The file number in question was initially submitted as an Express Entry application. Note that the file has not reached the permanent residence stage yet. Please advise if you wish to amend your ATIP request for the express entry profile.

Note that we will put your request on hold until we receive the requested information from you. If we have not received your reply by March 24, 2017, we will consider the request abandoned and close our file accordingly.

I have read this somewhere and i believe you have selected the wrong category while ordering notes. Check it again and resend the request.

I am also planning to call CIC to check the status of my application. Are there any threads/webpages with instructions to call CIC?

Check about GCMS here...
and GCMS notes includes all the detail about your application processing... in includes current status and also notes from officers working on your application.
Search more about it on the forum, you'll get more detail on what it is and how to apply for the same.
