Dear all,

I just checked my profile and found out that medicals changed to passed, I didn't receive any emails informing such a change of status. Is this normal?

nice Iman, how about the review of docs filed? is it still blank?

Woo, so my Review of medical results changed to Passed overnight (14th December 2016)!

Here's how my table looks now:

Where is this application?Details
Application/profile statusOpen
Review of eligibilityReview in Progress
Review of medical resultsPassed
Review of submitted documentsNo additional documents are needed at this time
Scheduling an interviewNot needed at this time
A background check is neededNot needed at this time
Final decisionNot Started

So I guess now I patiently wait for eligibility test or something else to change, but at least I know that medical test results have gone through, so that's a relief.

Hello
I think we all have to wait for couple of months after the medicals are updates to PASS to see new updates. This is just a speculation but a general observation from what I have seen in the trackers and on this forum.

Actually in my case I was quite surprised, because the medicals were the last thing I did (6th December 2016). I proceeded to complete the filing on 10th December 2016 and received my Acknowledge of Receipt the same day, almost instantaneously after I completed the payment.

Considering that's actually just shy of ten working days, that's.....impressive, even. The consultant I was speaking to at the time of the application was painting a picture that suggested that almost all of the CIC stuff were off for winter vacation and the office was a ghost town until January. :P

Clinic uploads your results to IRCC before giving you the confirmation form, and the first thing that they look at are those results coz (God Forbid) if there is any medical issues, there will be no need to proceed with the application. What I mean to say is that it is normal to see the medicals updates that quickly. Eligibility assessment timeframe depends on how complex the application is, the more documents you submit, the more time it will take. The more straight forward your documents are and less explanation provided, the less time the assessment takes.

In all cases, have a look at the below analysis it is helpful.

Do you know how they would contact if any follow-up medical tests are required? Would it be CIC or the clinic?

If your clinic is satisfied with the results, they'll upload it. Otherwise, they'll give you a call and request you to come back again.

Once the clinic uploads the results to the e-medical system, the medical panel appointed by IRCC take a look at your file. If they are satisfied, they advise the VO and your medicals are set to passed. Otherwise, they (VO) might send in a request for additional tests (This is called "furtherance"). You have to take these tests and your clinic submits the results to IRCC.

They (IRCC medical panel) take a look at the results of these tests. If they are satisfied, they advise the VO and the medicals is set to "Passed".

However, if they deem that you are either a danger to public health/safety OR you are a burden to the publicly funded Canadian healthcare system, the process gets kind of complex. Check the below link to understand how the concept of Medical Inadmissibility works.

I did my medicals back in April when my spouse received an ITA that he ultimately declined. I asked the Call Agent and he said we could use it, no need to do another medicals. It is now Day 15 of AOR, no update yet. Could the early medicals be a problem?

Welcome all who joined!
Wish speedy and safe PPR for everyone. :)

Thank you maged. I'm looking forward to your med passed status. :)
Review of docs filed turned to no additional docs needed at this time.

I did my medicals in August. I am day 10 today and no update.

Have hardly slept in the last 10 days as I am so anxious that I'll be rejected due to documents.

Dear Biggeee and TicTocCroc,

Medicals can take from 1 Day to 45 Days, so there's no need to be worried.
Fingers crossed. ;)

Hi Iman.G, Please add me to the list. Got my AOR on December 03, 2016. Good luck to everyone!
Thank you!
