viveks, you might want to put up a quote in the list mentioning "DO NOT QUOTE THIS LIST" because already, a few applicants have done that and the page looks extremely cluttered. This is only my suggestion!
I've done it myself, my bad.

Guys, as per request from Iman, we are joining the spreadsheets into one consolidated, going forward however - please add details either one to avoid duplicates.

The immitracker will allow you to post updetes yourself and will remind to update if you get too busy.

Hi all - just discovered this December applicants thread.

I received the PPR email yesterday and I need to send the passports (wife and myself) to the visa office (Abu Dhabi). The email received provides 2 options: either sending directly to the Canadian Embassy or to a VAC (Visa application center) with VFS (private company that manages admin staff). I am not clear about the process:
(1) The email says that the preferred option is VAC. When I checked the process in the VFS website, they ask for fees payment through bank drafts issued in AED. How can I do that While I am living in Bahrain? also, they talk about additional documents such as application forms and checklist but I can't find on their website. Can anyone help?
(2) If I opt for sending directly to the Embassy in Abu Dhabi: I am not sure if I need to pay any fees. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks.

Thanks.
you can call VFS or email them... they are quite responsive (one of the perks of outsourcing, VFS does care about customer service)
i have used VFS quite a few times in the past - they are quite decent...

good luck - what is your timeline BTW? when did you receive AOR ?

Hi guys,

I seem to come across a peculiar situation and need your views/help on the same:

I sent an email to CPC - CTD email address asking for my UCI number on 13th Jan

I called CIC customer care on Jan 25th for inquiring about my UCI number and was told by the customer care lady that my file has moved to NDVO (she did specify New Delhi - I remember clearly). So any further communications in my file's regard needs to be made with NDVO and not with CIC.

As a result I wrote an email to the email address of NDVO for my UCI number and received an automated acknowledgement as well for my mail.

Now, as the history of NDVO goes - I was not very hopeful honestly that they would revert on my UCI number mail. Hence, the anxious me sent an email this morning to the CPC -CTD address again as a reminder that I am not deriving any help in this regard to please provide my UCI number at the earliest.

And Voila! A mail comes to me in the evening with mine and my spouse's UCI numbers - now the actual confusion begins...

This mail has come from CPC-CTD email address and not NDVO ! I am totally confused as to where is my file located right now? Has it been transferred back to CPC in the name of workload re-distribution from NDVO? or the 1st customer care lady I spoke to gave an incorrect update!

Any suggestions/insights/case parallelism would be of soothing help.

Thanks!

You file is online and it's access both by officers in Ottawa and NDVO, it is not AFAIK physically sent to the LVO. When they say your file has moved to NDVO it means that the officer in Ottawa has done all he has to do and is now waiting for input form the officer at NVDO. Generally when you submit a CSE and have new information added to you case/file this needs to be done by the officer whose turn it is to look at you file, so that's why the lady originally told you to email/contact NVDO, it's their standard response for when you call Ottawa and the file has already been 'sent' to LVO.

Read this post for more information - http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/gcms-notes-well-explained-has-never-before-until-now-t390292.0.html

It will help you understand how both Ottawa and LVO work on you file at the same time, just bear in mind that the post is for family sponsorship and not EE via FSW/CEC/PNP.

So basically in your case since it was a simple request to get INFO from you file (and not append INFO) then Ottawa could quite easily do it (and they did it). Hope this helps.

Hi thanks for the response. I am aware the file is online and can be accessed from both the fronts - its quite logical.

My query was as the lady in the 1st scenario told me apologetically that she cannot provide me my UCI number as she do not have "access" to my file because it has moved to NDVO. This is the reason I am wondering how can they now provide me my UCI when initially they cannot!

Nevertheless - I wrote to the same mail chain asking for the VO processing my file and in a couple of minutes received the response that it indeed is NDVO ;) Seems like a lucky day to me as I got 2 responses back to back on same day from CPC.

Well to me this a s classic pass-the-buck situation. Initially Ottawa told you that you should get this information from NVDO, hence passing the buck to NVDO. When you wrote to them a second time asking for such a simple thing as UCI number (which is probably one of the first things they see when they open your file) the attendant probably thought it would be easier just to give you the information rather than to continue directing you to NVDO.

I think that if you had asked for something more complex they would have probably continued to redirect you to NVDO.

Good thing that you got the confirmation you're looking for! :D

I've also seen this.. for some reason US candidates have a time line similar to Inland (where the medicals take a really long time).
