No, Australia does have a pool but we don't need a job offer to get an invitation. 60 is the minimum required points and nobody ever with 60 points has been rejected. I got an invite and now visa application is lodged and should be in my hands within 5 months. EE was the reason I applied for Australia. It's clear that they want only people with job offers in the new program.

Thanks for clearing that up brother. I was just under this same impression of the EE with Australia. So you managed to get invited recently by Australian Immigration? Wow.. Good for you. But do you have a pending application as well with CIC as FSW2014? There are a handful and various reasons one is really interested in immigrating to Canada, but each to their own. I am not so familiar with Australia's and New Zealand's offer to new immigrants, so i don't have the capacity to comment.

Canadians are not foolish and idiot like their American neighbors....they never allowed everyone to enter their country and get PR....like in last 30 years we have seen......even illiterate has migrated and got citizenship in America..........but in Canada they have only invited educated people to migrate......they don't offer lottery visa or other things.

similarly we have seen same trend like US in Australia......now days anyone can migrate there.....I mean to say if you successfully able to let your anyone of family member, educated one, enter into Australia and get its immigration then he/she can sponsor u and call u and u can become citizen also one day......no matter u clear ielts or not or educated or not......

but in Canada they are really not a foolish nation...they never adopted this method......so their economy and country is not burdened by useless immigrated people who are nothing but heavy paper weights on economy.......see what happened with UK? ultimately to get rid of this thing UK has banned students to get citizenship there anymore, even there are no jobs what so ever for outsiders who graduated from oxford or glassgow or Cambridge.

on the other hand.......even though Canada can face recession or lay offs.......but still the situation will never be as bad as in UK or US or Australia. life is comparatively cheaper, u can afford to live even on odd jobs. so in my opinion they are doing fine by importing only what is beneficial for Canada not what is beneficial for people who are applying to immigrate or who intend to immigrate cos its Canada first than those who want to come.

Don't know about international students. They themselves would have to apply for lmia positions then. PGWPs do not have to be lmia approved but on the other hand since they're already in Canada, it would be much easier to get hired.

2nd draw sucks too people without job offers are doomed maybe better luck next year this year is only for those guys who have valid job offer or who are nominated by PNP's
