Hi
I have just submitted my profile but the score shown is 413. But when I cal calculated the score by crs calculator it is 470. I am missing points for Canadian master degree (30) and Skill transferability factors (26).

Skill transferability factors
Education
  • A) Official Language proficiency and education = 25
  • B) Canadian work experience and education = 25
Subtotal = 50

Foreign work experience
  • A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 13
  • B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 13
Subtotal = 26

Certificate of qualification = 0

Subtotal Skill transferability factors = 76

Questions;

1.When I entered the education qualification I put my master degree in Canada and Undergrad degree for my back home for which I have not done any credential assessment. Will this affect my point of 30 for degree in Canada.?
2. Shall just input details of my master degree only without bachelor degree?
3. Do I need to assess the bachelor degree?
4. I have one year of Canadian work experience and not any experience form back home. However in CrS calculator i get point of 26 for Foreign work experience as shown below;
  • A) Official Language proficiency and foreign work experience = 13
  • B) Canadian and foreign work experience = 13
Subtotal = 26

why is this? When I submitted the profile i did not get any points.

Please anyone clarify me?

What was your answer for this question:
Was more than half the study program English or French as a 2nd language course?
If your answer is YES, then that's why. Good Luck!

You should be able to enter only your Canadian master's degree and receive full points, unless the institution was not accredited, or you made some other data entry error.

As for the work experience - there are 2 questions, one for "Canadian work experience' and one for "work experience" - the latter does not specify foreign, but that is what is intended. If you have no foreign work experience, you should ONLY enter your Canadian work experience.

Another possible error, when you entered your Canadian work experience, you answered "yes" to the question of whether the work was completed under a study permit. Experience obtained under a study permit is not eligible. If you had a PGWP, then you were no longer under a study permit...

I updated the profile no to education question and received 30 points and increased to 443 but not yet received the extra 26 points.
I answered no to;
Studying full-time while doing this job? A person must be in class at least 15 hours per week during the academic year to be considered full-time. This includes any period of training in the workplace that is part of the study program. (required)

But no points added.
CRS - Skill Transferability - Foreign Work Experience 0
explanation to this section is;
This is your Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score based on a combination of your work experience outside Canada and your test score for your first official language and either the highest level of education for which you received an Education Credential Assessment, or work experience in Canada.

Hello,

I have a one-year graduate certificate from a Canadian College. How should I answer the following question. (I know it's a no-brainer but I am so paranoid)

Was this degree, diploma or certificate: (Yes or No)
  • from a public post-secondary school, such as a college, trade/technical school, university or CEGEP (in Quebec)
  • from a private post-secondary school that operates under the same rules as public schools
  • a diplôme d'études professionnelles (DEP) or an attestation de spécialisation professionnelle (ASP) earned through a qualifying study program of at least 900 hours from a private school in Quebec, or
  • a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate degree from a Canadian private school that can legally award degrees under provincial law. (The student must have been enrolled in a study program that led to a degree as set out by the province.)
