Hi,

i had filled my express entry application EOI in aug last year 2015 and was invited in September 2015,
just received an update yesterday that my application as been found ineligible and i hence could not
be processed further.

the Reason given is that i had selected that my wife will not be accompanying me while filling the EOI,
but later when i was invited and was filling the visa application, there was an option asking if i wish to
include my wife in the application, i got confused and thought that since the option is showing up i might
be allowed to include her now, so i selected yes and filled out her details as well.

Now, the only issue that i was confused while filling up the main form, hence made the wrong selection,
can i request for a review of the application ? i can just simpley remove the details of my wife ?

Given my case the application could have been pushed in to the pool again and i could have waited till
i receive a fresh invite?

Please suggest what could be my options now? very disappointing for me :(

Thanks
Abhishek

I dont think the review is possible, however, it seems like there no reasons (based on your description) and you have not been banned from Canada for misrepresentation, then yes.

You cannot appeal this decision because your recalculated points, after the inclusion of your spouse to the application, went below the cutoff of that draw which got you the ITA. Create another EE profile right away and remember that only you will get PR status if you choose spouse as 'Not Accompanying' on this application. You would've to sponsor them later under Family Class after you 'land' in Canada as PR. That process can take 12 months or longer.

Thanks for the reply, would i have to select the spouse as non accompanying in the new application as well ? or if i create a new profile i can choose to include my spouse?

can i link the new profile with my previous one which is just refused due to the issue i have mentioned ? or do i have to create a new fresh application without linking it?

Also, do i have to take care of any other factors ?, please let me know.

Thanks
Abhishek

Refusal won't impact u further. You need to decide first do you want or not to include ur wife in application. If u don't want to, you need to giv reason by explaining in LOE. Create new profile and wait for ITA. Refusal reason you can mention when you get ITA.
