hey guys random one - does anyone know about how easy it is to leave canada for a trip after you land with your COPR but before you get a PR card? - kind of hoping i will hear some good news soon,

but have to go to leave Canada in October for family reasons, and debating leaving the landing until coming back from that trip or doing a border run as soon as i (hopefully) get COPR as it will mean i can work again (currently on a visitor permit)...

yes you can add explanation letter with convincing proofs that you have applied for FBI PCC.

I believe that you can do this if you either fly with air canada, or drive over the border in a private car.

I suggest you get this confirmed though!

Jun 11 - Sch. A requested and Submitted

My question: My TRV has expired this month and I need to go on a short vacation outside Canada, is it ok if I apply for visitor visa? Has anyone done this before? Does it have any affect on my application for PR?

I read it on the british expats forum... hence why i suggested you confirmed this. A mate of mine has also flown back without PR card in his possession, though that was a few years back.

Hi Armaniz, I was in a same situation like yous and I applied for my visitor visa. To my surprise I got the passport request (for tourist visa) in 3 days after my submission. The complete procedure took me less than two weeks.
