Just wondering, does any of those who submitted in Feb have work experience in U.S. or is related to sensitive major? Maybe those reasons can result in tedious background check process?

I wish what you said is true. I'm currently in U.S. Compared to people submitting applications at the same time and even after me, I didn't get any updates. This is frustrating seriously.

I submitted my application on April 10th, and got my medical exam passed on April 15th.

My Background check is still set to "not started" .. Anyone in same position?

It seems that most people get background check "in progress" right away, either when they pass the medical exam or when it's in progress.
I am in the same shoes. i got my medicals updated to passed on 21st april but my background check update didnt change as opposed to everyone else's experience.

My ECAS however changed to application received on the 22nd.

Incan1010, I see your previous post where ECAS status shows 'Decision Made'. Were you not asked to send your passport?

Intocanada, mine is still ECAS showing IN PROCESS not yet decision made.
Incan your medical got passed and you are at In Process? I thought most people's ecas changed to Application received from in process after their medical was received? My medical Didnt even started and I'm at in process as well. Confusing

Im not sure about how he got Inprogress before in process.. but most of the people have below pattern

In process --> Application receieved --> In process

Medicals are updated in ECAS but status still says Application received. I dont wanna bother about status as there are some people who got PPR with out any status change. :)

First my ECAS SHOWING step 1. In progress. Step 2. Aplication Received. Step 3.In process... Still waiting same thing in process...in progress is the first step. In process is the 3rd step.

Now I do remember mine is:
1. In progress
2. Application Received.
3. In process.

Nothing else(medical, background check) has any updates so far.

I got confused by progress/process at the beginning and posted something misleading. This is such a mess of everyone's different status. :-\
