does anybody here had an experience getting a japan PCC here in CANADA??? How long it took for you to get it? Thank you so much!

2-3 months via Japanese embassy in Ottawa. When I applied for it last year, it took about 2 months.
If you need to submit PR application before that, Japanese embassy will give you a letter confirming that you applied for a PCC and it takes 2-3 months. There is no charge for the letter, but you have to ask them to write one.
You need to apply for it at the nearest Japanese embassy or consulate. You need to get a form, and have finger prints taken. I did it in Vancouver, and the consulate no longer takes finger prints there. You need to go to the local police office or private agencies to have them taken.

I kind worried bec I got the letter March 16 and CIC gave me 1 month to submit (due on April 16) and I went to Calgary the next day (march 17). for my Japan PC. I informed CIC and requested for an extension. Now, CIC did give me another month to submit the said doc which is now due on May 16. So, My worries is If PC will not receive before May 16, Should I ask another extension and do you think will CIC grant it again?

I just wish that the PC will receive it 1 and half months from the date of application...

Guys, I have a questions. According to you guys' timeline, I think by the time I get passport request, it's the same period when my F1 visa status in USA expires and I have to go home. What would happen if I mailed my passport and it still doesn't come back when I have to leave? ??? Hopefully I'm just thinking too much...

I applied for a new Japanese PC on Feb 17, but haven't received it yet. Last time, it took 2 months and 3 days, to be exact.
One and half months is very unlikely...but hope it will come quick for you.
If it doesn't work, you might be able to ask for an extension by providing a letter from the consulate stating the processing time and the date you applied.

From studying this thread, I think the applications that have been processed quickly are people who are already living in Canada or who have LMIA.
I think that's NO. Because I already have 3 LMIA (include 2 LMO) and I live in Canada. hmmm.

Hi Guys

Is there anyone who got an AOR and was still waiting on their FBI PCC for the United States. Was proof that you paid and sent the finger prints enough to get AOR?
