Express entry and IFHP application showing in my account without applying?

Hello all,

My wife is my primary sponsor for our PR application. We have submitted our application and paid all the fees etc..

We are married and came to Canada on seperate visas (no sponsorship) as we were not married at the time we applied for our visas. I logged into my account and see that an express entry profile and a IFHP application is displayed in my account? I never started an application and am very confused as to why this is showing up? I have had no email notifying me of this change either

Do I need to complete it? I already have provincial health coverage

Hi there,

It's probably because you are under your wife's application. And they found an associated account under your name, so they linked them. Nothing to worry about! You know you can double check with CIC call centre.

The IFHP is for temporary health coverage until you get PR. I never applied because I already have a health card. I don't think you really need to worry about it, they won't decline your PR if you don't apply. I just left it
