Expiring Medicals - Travel on OWP.. Need help

I have an open work permit issued in May 2016. Due to some unfortunate situations I haven't been able to travel until now. I decided to travel now and booked my tickets for June 3rd 2017. I realized that my medicals expire on 21st May 2017.

I am in a fix here as my last working day in my current organization is on 1st June and an early release​ doesn't seem to be a possibility.

My PR application is also in process eAOR - 30th Jan 16.

What should I do now?

Can someone please help me on this? Is redoing medicals okay? Does it need any approval?

You haven't posted your question clearly.
Lets input more information by answering few question.

1. Do you have Post Graduation (after studies) work permit or is it extension after PGWP or is it a normal open work permit? When does it expires?
2. Why exactly you are worried about Medicals? Is it because you think you are going to need it when you go back to canada or something else?

It's a spousal open work permit valid till June 2019. My wife is in Toronto and I am still in India. I haven't traveled to Canada till now.

My concern is because my medicals will expire on May 21st 2017 and I will be travelling on June 3rd 2017. Won't the officer at border services have an issue with that?

Since this is you first trip to Canada, you have to enter Canada before it expires. The other option for you is that Since you have booked your ticket for 3rd June, You can re-do your medicals.

Take an appointment to re-do your medicals, ask for a day off for that day at work. Do your medicals.

No special process for re-doing your medicals. When you call/visit DMV(approved hospital in India) for an appointment, explain your situation. Let them know about the visa you have, expiring medical results etc.
