Question:

An explanation letter is needed for an expired passport (expired since Mai 28, 2016)? I have send my application last week and now I'm worry about it?

If yes: can I send a letter even before the AOR?

My sister forgot to attach explanation letter with application for her child's expired passport and she got back her application for all family members with in two weeks after applying. I am not sure if sending letter will work now but you can call CIC call centre to get an idea what can you do in this case.

my passport was expired in 2014..i renewed in 2015..i sent a letter explaining the 1 year gap..better safe than sorry
