Hello,

I have a question regarding directly related work experience
I have 8 month work experience in NOC2253 (Drafting technologist) - Sheet Metal Industry.

I have read the guide thoroughly and they mention that BC PNP counts directly related work experience if the NOC skill level is equal or greater than your previous NOC, it will be counted as direct.

1) Now, I would like confirm if I will accept a job offer for NOC2232 (Mechanical Technologist) and will work for 4 month under it, would BC PNP count this as 1 year of directly related work experience, considering previous 8 month? This is the different NOC, but I have checked all the duties, and they are identical, except NOC2232 not only does drafting, but also designing (unlike my previous NOC2253). How can I demonstrate that this is a higher level NOC, or having 2 reference letters from both employers would be sufficient?

2) Second question is: if I am getting into technical sales (NOC6221) in the Sheet Metal Industry and get 4 month experience under it, would BC PNP count this as 1 year of directly related work experience, considering my previous 8 month experience in similar industry?

Thanks.
