I revised my SOP and is written below to satisfy the officer about the purpose of my travel
"We are now in the era of revolutionized technology in the world of telecommunication. This biggest breakthrough in technology redefined the concept of connectivity and transformed the world in the way we think, work and interact. My fascination towards Electronics and its related areas had made me decide to opt for Electronic and communication as my undergraduate program. I will be completing my Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) from XXXXXX. During the course of my undergraduate study, I was exposed to various courses with applications like Linear Integrated Circuits, Electronics Circuits, Digital circuits, Digital Signal Processing, etc which formed the base for my well sculpted program. However, there are many challenges that arise in this interconnected world which require extensive research and technology to overcome. In order to keep pace with fast growing technology and internationally competitive skills, I have decided to continue my study in Canada.
I have chosen to study in Canada as this country has been well recognized for a first-rate education system across the globe. Through my extensive research, I have learned that it is one of the best places to study as it provides top notch education, advance technology, welcoming and beautiful environment and most of all, sense of security. I fully believe that these are the factors that will contribute to my success as an international student.
I have decided to obtain Co-operative Education Graduate with a B.A.Sc. (Co-op) in Electronic Systems Engineering for Fall 2015. The program is in accordance with my previous study with the addition of software and computer-related courses as part of the electronics core program. Therefore, I will develop greater facility with both hardware and software system. I have applied to University of Regina as it is a pioneer in Cooperative Education, establishing the first such program in Western Canada (est. 1969). It is also accredited by the Canadian Association for Co-operative Education (CAFCE). I am very inspired by this program (Bachelors + Co-op Experience), as I will be able to apply the theory part of the program into the real engineering world. This is really important for me as I have come to realize that the hands on experience I obtained from my program here in the Philippines is quite limited. While significant experience remains a valuable asset to employers when securing a professional position in the country, I admit that it is still something I have yet to develop. I believe that by acquiring first class education coupled with extensive Co-op experience from the University of Regina, I will be able to compete with the best and the brightest engineers in the Philippines. This work (Co-op) experience is vital as most acknowledged competitors in the Philippines have also obtained their education and experience abroad."
Honestly I was going to apply for Masters initially, I made this section
"I was very interested in pursuing Master's degree initially but unfortunately, the Philippine credentials are not sufficient to allow me to pursue higher education. As per University requirements, I should need to have at least one year of Master degree education in the Philippines. I have only recently completed my Bachelor's Degree and unable to comply with that particular requirement. Due to this circumstance, I have decided to obtain Co-operative Education Graduate with a B.A.Sc. (Co-op) in Electronic Systems Engineering for Fall 2015."
Now my question is!! Should I or should I not include the part where I talk about my attempt to apply for Masters? I dont want the VO to think Im settling for BS ESE with Coop cause I could not get in to Masters. But at the same time, I don't want VO to think I am only RETAKING the same bachelors. So I highlighted the Co-op experience opportunity (unique quality) so that there would be educational progression
What do you think experts!!! I need to reaaply soon.
Also, I have passed my medicals already. What do I need to submit with the new application? Medical receipt?
??? ??? ??? ???
