Exiting Canada after six months

I’m on a multiple entry visa.
I just want to ask, do I really need to go back to my home country (Philippines) after 6 months or I can just visit another country just to say I exited Canada after 6 months of my stay?

Huh. Why are you asking this when you already did so?

Travelling to the Philippines or Mexico was not necessary. You could have applied for an extension while you were still in Canada. Oh well what’s done is done.

Whether you’ll be let back into Canada is up to the CBSA officer to decide, which is now a delicate matter since you stayed the full six months. It’s possible of course but no guarantee.
