Exchanging US Driver's License with Ontario

Hi,
I know you can exchange your US driver's license with an Ontario one, but you have to surrender the US license. Is there a way to get around this and keep the US driver's license? Is it possible to apply for a new Ontario driver's license instead, so I don't have to surrender my US license?

I'd appreciate your input if you knew anything about this. Thanks.

Nope. You can drive for up to 60 days, I believe, after reaching Ontario from the US, using your US drivers license.

If you just need an ID when you are in Canada, you can get Ontario Photo ID.
