Your next BF'D is 15/12/2011 ?
Is this possible? 8 months after??? I think there is some mistake for sure. Recheck again.

No fireworks he has not made any mistake i guess. There are applicants who applied same time with him who have BF'D of 01.2.2013.
Check the link below.

so from what you are saying, my file is being checked, marks are being given (i.e. education, years of experience, age, ect...) but what they might be doing now is checking the genuity of my documents (if my file is randomly selected), if not then i should be expecting the medical request along with a request for fresh security clearnces...
correct??

You are right.

@FIREWORKS I wish I could say it was a mistake but it was written there at least on 3 or 4 different pages of my CAIPS note and I'm still in shock myself and hoping for a miracle!

PRETORIA, SOUTH AFRICA.

ok
what is the average processing time for a PR visa case in your country's visa office ? my visa office is new delhi, and from what we have been observing, applicants at new delhi visa office are getting visas in a total of 12-17 months time, including the time the application is submitted to CIO sydney, canada.

Hello I am new here applied in December 2007 and waiting for updates. Any one has information. Please let me know

well according to the info on the CIC website, it's meant to be 12 months from the date of submission of a complete application to the visa office. Based on the very few applicants from my visa office on any of the online Canadian immigration forums, it used to take an average of 14months but no FSW applicant (on any of the said forums) from 2010 has received a visa or even medicals this year, so far so good.

one question seniors:

What does "further background verification" mean? How long does it take?
Is this after "backgroung check"?

thank you for your reply...

your BF date scares me. i am also the victim of pretoria office.

No need to be scared..... You applied in 2009, have you written to the PTA CHC for a status update? Afterall it's been over 12 months since you submitted full documents their office.

Just saw this on the The Star's website, very disheartening news...

oh, u mean to say that applicants with IN PROCESS are undergoing any of the above 3 scenarios ?

How about IN PROCESS, but have already undergone Medicals and paid the RPRF (in addition, DD for the RPRF was already encashed/negotiated)......no request/submission of passport yet..... in this scenario, what is happening at the VO?
