Hi everyone
I’m originally from Pakistan and I become irreligious as soon as I got to Canada, I renounced Islam as a religion. To top it off, I’m also Bisexual.
I’m currently a Grad/Master’s student at UBC, Vancouver. Is it a good idea to apply for asylum in land? Or should I wait until my Master’s is complete and then go through a work stream to PR.
Which is better?

Best option would be to complete your Master's and apply for PR through an economic stream.

The asylum process is very long and uncertain.

Why would you not complete your masters , apply for a PGWP to get Canadian experience , then apply for PR ? As above asylum is never a guaranteed process and may even take longer than the PR route no way to predict, and even then could fail at the end.
