Will my 9years ago worked affect my visa???

I highly doubt your past work experience as an entertainer will cause problems for you. What kind of entertainment?

I am guessing she was a geisha or something like that. Otherwise I don't know why that would matter.

If you were a prostitute or something like that (and I'm not presuming you were / are), then perhaps that might be an issue.

I'd just put down that you were in the entertainment business specializing in ______________.

i was a singer b4 but that was 9years ago,
Sorry I jumped into conclusions. I don˙t think it will affect your application If you were singer.

thats ok,just wanted to clear my mind.Coz our consultant is telling us that i might be interviewed on this plus thinking of visa denied. So you think they won't question this past work???

You have nothing to worry about. Being a singer isn't a bad thing...unless you have a horrible voice!! You're fine...and this is a legitimate occupation...surely no worries with CIC.

1. What nationality are you?
2. Is your consultant Japanese or Canadian? Or some other nationality?
3. Why does he think having been a singer will be an issue? Ask him why he thinks that, if you haven't already. It seems like a very strange thing to tell you.

If you were a singer, it should not make any difference to your application. If you were a bar hostess or karaoke girl, then maybe the visa officer will wonder about the relationship. It still should not lead to a refusal. If you are worried, just increase the amount of proof you send that the relationship is genuine.

I just want to say that in some cultures (i.e. Philippines) the word Entertainer has a double meaning. Even though she was only a singer, and we don't see that as being confusing, people in the Philippines might be confused as culturally they seem to view everyone who goes to work in Japan as some kind of 'entertainer.'

I would say you were a singer, musician or an artist...I would avoid the word entertainer entirely. just my 2-bits!

don't be anxious about your past, my wife had the same past than you and she is a filipina. The most important thing you must prove to the visa office than: your relation is genuine: a true love relation. Even about your past. don't forget 90% of applicants must go to an interview. my wife had her interview on january 11 and they only ask 1 question about her past (this question was about when and how me met only) good luck.

It would only matter if it was Illegal in Japan
