My partner who is a Canadian citizen is applying for an evisa to travel to India. We are located in Toronto and she wants to travel on April 11th next month.
We called BLS Brampton and they are saying it will take 30 days for tourist visa and 45 days for entry visa which is insane and cutting it too close.
This site says the processing will take 72 hours minimum which isn’t long
https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/evisa/tvoa.html

anyone recently applied from Toronto or Ontario and have any advice on how and where to apply? Any advice is appreciated

I got an eVisa for my daughter 2-3 days. Applied in Jan for travel in Feb. Why do you need to talk to BLS for eVisa?

Cause there was a bit of a confusion as to which visa to apply for- as BLS also offers entry visa and tourist visa. I just advised her not to deal with BLS and strictly apply for evisa.

My partner is currently applying for a 30 day evisa on indianvisaonline.gov.in
But it won’t let her apply because it’s earlier than 1 month before travel. Any issue applying for the 1 year evisa instead?
also do evisas allow multiple entries within that period of time?

There is no difference between tourist and entry for all practical purposes. You can't apply for eVisa before 30 days. We had multiple entry on eVisa.
