Thanks for your selfless efforts. I am asking questions since last few days but nobody is bothering to answer me. hope you will help me because i dont want to go to any consultant.

I am planning to apply for PhD. my profile is

MBE 72%
MPhil 84%
IELTS 7.5, L 9, R 7.5, W 6, S 7
completed my thesis for MPhil
Presented a paper in March2016 in an international conference
6 years work experience as finance manager on the Basis of my MBE degree( major in finance). no work experience related to MPhil as it is in Educational managment

I have few questions:
1. as i am planning to bring my family (husband and three kids under 18) with me, which university will be better for me?
2. Are there any chance of getting our visas if we apply together bcz applying without them is not an option for me ( my kids are too young)?
3. if i bring my kids, will their education be free or do i have to pay for them too?


I would really appreciate if you can answer these questions

From my research, i found interest in LAKEWOOD UNIVERSITY, thunderbay. Please i really need an advice on how to go about the process from start.

I need a friend in that region i can connect with for information Purpose. I know it will b of help in a way becos i dont have any relative or friend in Canada.

Please i wouldnt mind also If anyone can tell me the whole processing cost, exams to write & what to do as a fresh graduate.

Based on your profile you have very good chances in the following universities

1. Schulich Business school(York University)
2. Ivy Business School(Western University)
3. Sauder Business school(UBC University)---Somewhat difficult but you can try---u have very good profile

But For these unis you should have GMAT score...

2. Yes there are chances of getting visa u have to apply for study permit and your wife have to apply for open work permit.

3. I cannot answer this question as i dont have any information regarding this ....u ask this from any other senior member of this forum.

So start contacting Professors you may even get scholarship

I am feeling happy to read that you have interest in research.

Steps:

1. Clear the IELTS Exam and aim for 7+ bands

2. Make a Good CV

3. Make a strong SOP

4. Ready Your Transcripts

5. Contacting Professors through phone or Email( Email communication preferred) In an Email make a concise email highlighting your achievements and your research interest and attach your CV,SOP & Transcript.


BTW its not lakewood its Lakehead University in thunderbay

There is not any rule how many backlogs are permissible... some universities are not taking students having more than 2 backlogs

But If you can explain that why u got 9 Backlogs in your academia in SOP....sometime student got backlogs due to illness, family problems and other valid reasons...

Then you have a chance:

How many backlogs??

10 backlogs.
6- 1st year
3- 2nd year
1- 5th semester
no backlog in last 3 semester.
so what are my chances in any university.
and also i want to know how they will know about number of backlog i have. by looking at my dmc's issue date they only can know that i have backlogs is some semester but there is nothing written about number of backlogs or failed subject in any certificate or transcript.
