Hi, I am being sponsored within Canada. I recieved an email stating that the decision has been made and that I will be contacted for an interview by CIC Etobicoke. My partner (Sponsor) and I seperated two months ago. She is still willing to go ahead with the application. Will this situation affect my final decision?

If you are no longer in a relationship with your sponsor, then you will both be committing fraud by proceeding with the application. If you manage to obtain PR status fraudulently, this means CIC can at any time in the future revoke your status in Canada (even once you are a citizen).

We are thinking of informing the officer about our situation. Just wanted to know if they will still go ahead with the application or just refuse me right away?

You will both need to attend the interview and the officer will ask if you are still in a relationship and living together. When you tell the truth and answer no, your PR app will be cancelled on the spot.

If you both lie and answer yes, you are both committing immigration fraud and subject to punishment if CIC/CBSA ever finds out about it.

If you have conditional PR, you will also be required to live with your sponsor for 2 years after you get PR, which will be hard to do if you've already broken up.
