Hello everyone,
I am a coordinator of programs and services at JobStart, a non-for-profit community agency in Etobicoke committed to connecting newcomers to employment opportunities.
I am currently recruiting newcomers with limited or no knowledge about settlement/community services for a focus group discussion about their knowledge of settlement services and why traditional outreach strategies have not been effective for them. All focus group participants will receive a $15 honorarium and TTC tokens.
Some of the newcomers from the focus group will continue with the project as members of a group that will receive training and will work collaboratively with partner organizations to develop and implement innovative strategies to reach other vulnerable newcomers.
