Hey guys, I have been living out of my birth place for 7 years (uninterruptedly), however in the Form IMM 0008 I forgot to add my National Identity Document of the country where I reside legally. Now, The CIC is sending my app to the VO of my birth country instead of the VO of the country where I live, so my question is, there is any way to change or fix that mistake now that they will send the app??

In your opinion, if I withdraw the application (for a question of processing times) and decide apply again correcting that mistake, you think CIC will send the app to the VO of my residence country??

Thanks!!!

If you app has already been sent, send a case inquiry email adding your information .

I made mistakes on some forms what I did was once I got an application # or UCI number I filled out the correct form and drafted a cover letter detailing the errors and the steps I am taking to correct these errors and mailed it to the visa office. There is no need to withdraw the application. I also ordered GCMS notes to see if the forms were attached to the application as most visa offices don't seem to reply confirming.

Okay, thanks for the advice,
CIC notified me yesterday that they will send the app to the VO, and I just realized now about my mistake in the in the Form, so I should wait until have news of the VO, should send it now or should I sent to the office in Mississauga?

CIC has been sending applications to people's birth countries regardless of their current residency, so it might have made no difference.

Your National Identity Document would have made no difference in CIC's decision. If you withdraw and include the ID, they will just send it back to the same office anyways.

I had to update something too and just sent a case specific inquiry to the VO once I got the SA letter, even though I haven't heard anything from the VO itself. I think it's better to just send it as early as you can so it won't cause delays.

I guess you're right, changing this part of the Form will not change the VO if I apply again. So I just will wait. Thank you!!!

I will send the the forms corrected to the VO then, in order to try to avoid any possible delay, thanks for the advice.
