Hi all,

Need Advice....

we got the PPT's back today after 5 weeks with COPR for me & my family.

Now there is error in my COPR form:

Myself (PA): the marital status in "single" and "married" for my spouse. However they have written in Dependent information as spouse and child accompanying.

Kindly advice if the COPR needs correction or can be corrected at port of entry??

After waiting 5 weeks got this error... am so pissed...

I notice that you have London as your Visa Office.

In this case, I am not at all surprised that they have got it wrong.

The London CHC seems to be staffed by people that just cannot get things right...

It should be OK. Look at the updated procedure. http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/resources/manuals/bulletins/2013/ob545-mod.asp

Thanks but where does this show in the manual that the marital status can be changed by officials at POE

Did you expand the Corrections tab?

Corrections
In cases where a clerical error has been made, the IMM 5688E or IMM 5292B should be corrected to bring it into agreement with the bio data in the passport or travel document. The correction should be made on all copies of the CoPR by placing an asterisk beside the error and notating the correction in the remarks section. Any corrections made must also be reflected in the Field Operations Support System (FOSS) and/or Global Case Management System (GCMS). Final responsibility for ensuring data integrity and legibility of the CoPR rests with the officers, including the reprinting of a replacement document from FOSS or GCMS when significant changes are required.
This is only a clerical error, as your whole application has been on the basis of you being married. Of course, if you wish to raise a "Case Specific Enquiry" with London to clarify, you can do so. However, I think that they will ask you to return your COPR for replacement, wasting at least another month. This is what I had to do.

Just for future reference i would like to update on the topic for future candidates.

The VO replied that its a minor error and can be changed at Port of Entry - and additionally asked to keep the marriage certificate handy.
