Hi all,

On cic they mention size of envelope for submitting all documents,

Is it like that we have to post exact size of envelope or can I choose one bigger envelope.

Hi Ved,

The required envelope size may not be enough to put together all your docs... so it is ok to have a bigger envelope.

9 X 12 is just BS.

I had so many documents, that i had to take a big envelope. So, don't worry.

I send mine in a little bigger envelop. There is no way you can fit all those documents in that size envelop. I think they haven't noticed this problem yet, after they change the rule.

9x12 = 230mm x 305mm. We couldn't physically fit our documents into such an envelope (even if you could that exact size in the UK, which you can't!) since our University sealed transcripts are 320mm long.

We ended up sending in 250mm x 380mm envelope and folder the excess at the end, so the final size was 250mm x 340mm.

I think 9x12 is a rough guide so all their applications are of a similar size. After all they probably have to pile them quite high and don't want the towers of paperwork to topple over ;p
