Just carry WP Approval letter+ letter from your employer confirming your job offer is still valid (no specific format, I just took it in his letterhead). No dependent travelled with me

Can you pls explain for Indian PP holders in USA currenlty whether we need both WP & VISA ( Stamped in PP) to enter canada or WP and valid job offer is enough ?

pretty sure you would need a stamped visa, otherwise airlines wont allow you to board with an Indian PP . Same rules for travelling by road too, the boarded officers wont let you in with indian PP and no visa
