Entry to Canada after PR

Hello

If a couple receives Canada PR (applying as spouse will come along with primary applicant), can either husband/wife move first to Canada and settle down? The reason I ask is with H4EAD going away, my spouse would like to move to Canada and start working. I would like to continue my job in USA for couple of years until I find the right opportunity.

Yes. This can be done.

First landing, couple need to land together or primary applicant will need to land first.

After that, either or both can move to Canada as per their convenience as long as long as PR obligation - "Canadian stay for 2 out of 5 years rolling window" is met.
