hi guys,
just to share the way my "entrevue" (interview) went last friday (05/01/09)
it was in new york and i arrived there at 2:15.
the immigration agent called me in a 2:30 explained to me what we were about to do.
he had already the application i have sent on his desk.
we started:

1-My identity
~my passport
~my birth certificat

2-My education
~diploma
~certification

3-Work and experience
~letter from my emploer
~my tasks
~my pay stub
....

4-My plan of immigration
~why i decided to move
~how i'm planing to do it

5-CANADA and Quebec
the agent wanted to know if i did some researches about canada specially quebec and where in
quebec i would like to settle and why.if i'm aware about the cost of living, the job market ...

6-My english
asked me some questions in english to see how bad or good i am (i am not that good but that day
i was in my good shape so frankly i got A+) lol!!!!!!!!!!!!

After that,
I was able to walk away with my CSQ in pocket.

The whole thing took 45mn because at 3:15 I was on 48th and 5th avenue trying to catch a taxi to head to JFK airport.

comment: everything went smoothly and the agent was so professional and very nice.He made sure i understood every steps
ahead and all my questions were very welcome.

Thank you guys for your help through this forum and i'm pretty sure i could count on you for the rest of the process,
I may have missed some part of it and will be glad to answer specific questions you have.

Thanks for sharing ur experience...

hey bobine, first of all congradulations :)

i wanted to know that how much french did he use? and did he ask you about your french expertise?

hi angeleye i guess they expect intermédiate level... Rest i think bobine in a bêtter position to reply...

Bonjour bobine!
Je vous souhaite les meilleurs!
Bonne chance! ;)

Bonsoir,

Tous les personnes parlent en francais. C'est bien!! Felicitations encore bobine...

Merci...

Bobine please reply.

hi all of you,
thank you so much!!!
if you look at the post, it was last year and i already got the visa (november2009)
and my ticket to head to canada.

@angeleye:
i did the whole interview in french and because i am from french speaking country
it wasn't a problem. but the agent did test my english too and once again it was ok because
i am in english speaking country.
eventhough french is the key here, you don't have to worry too much...the important will be to be
able to defend yourself and show that you can survive in quebec with your french.

once again, thank you all for your support and for any specific question you may have, i will be more
than happy to answer like people in this forum did for me when i was in deep need.
