Hi everybody,,,,,i need your experience in giving me some advice,,,,,, :D ;D

i`m planning to enter Canada from USA as i heard it is more drama free ,also, i will carry a valid PR but i will not meet the residency requirements by two or three months (my pr expired in 2015),also, i was noticed from the IO last time that i have only 40 days to be away from Canada and he will write this in my profile (it means that i been flagged with red flag ,i hope not) and for my luck,my wife had to do an important surgery in my country and it takes more than these 40 days by two months

1- so what do you recommend train or bus? from the point of the easiest with IO.
2-do they let us get out from the train or the bus and pass with the same steps in the airports or they pass by themselves in the train or bus?
3-do they use computers because if so, my red flag let them doubt me?
i need my passport to be stamped? do the IO stamp the passport ? as i heard they sometimes don't stamp it?

any how i`m preparing my self with the human reasons and proves and i will never lie in my travelling documents and if i been reported ,i will go through the appeal,,i`m only 60 days out of the residency requirements and i have a job offer and acceptable letter from a Canadian university to continue my educations.

i need your help and anyone have a similar case or experience

regards

I've never crossed the border by train. However I can tell you what happens on a bus. If you arrive on a bus, the bus pulls up to the main immigration terminal and all passengers must get off. Then each passenger must go through immigration one by one (or by family) just like you do at the airport. Immigration speaks with each individual/family just like they do at the airport - and yes - they certainly have access to their computers. (I would assume they have access to their computers on the train as well.)

Thanks scylla,,,,
anyhow i will take my chances by taking the train.....do u think they will let all the people in the train go down and pass one by one ....

i have other rplies in this tippic but in a different goup and some of them mentioned that didnt even scan the PR or stamp the passport..

i really can get definite answer......thanks anyhow,,,,i should be prepared anyhow with good justification ith proves and i hope they will not report me nor prevent me to enter canada..

To the best of my knowledge, immigration officials get on the train (rather than passengers getting off). However they still check everyone individually and verify everyone's IDs. I'm assuming they must carry hand-held computers / scanners. But I don't know that for certain.

Thanks scylla....i think in this case they might not know about the red flag in my profile( i hope so) ,,do u think they gave us also the custom paper which they gave it to us in the plane to fill it( i hate it because it was the reason i been discovered last time as i wrote the last time in canada was two years and half)

i hope someone with this experiance wrote his feedback here...

by the way,,i landed in sep. 2010 ,,we have the same time frame...

hope you the best...

I actually used the Train a couple of months a go from NYC to Toronto. The rule now(after the bomb attempt on a Canadian Train)is that all Passengers must dissembark taking their bags along and linning up to pass through the immigration and that is after going through the Immigration dog sniffing.
