Hello,I'm from Japan and going to study in Canada. I got a student permit from the embassy and going there before almost 2 months before school starting to get used to living there and find an apartment and stuff like that.
I'm thinking to bring the financial statement from the bank which shows the enough money for 2 months to prove that I didn't come earlier to work.
Do you think its enough to pass the immigration? Or what else can I at least do to minimize the risk to get refused??
I know its kind of risky but since I already got the ticket and can't cancel anymore,I made my mind.

Can you also tell me your thoughts about the passibility that I will enter Canada without any trouble??

Though I decided to try,I'm still worried about it and want to prepare well .

I'm planning on attending University of Manitoba.

I got in the country today! I wasn't even asked anything. I was just asked to present my passport. I was asked for no bank statements.......NOTHING!

I even ask if I can begin work and I was told I can by CBSA!

CBSA gave you wrong info about working (this happens often unfortunately - they aren't that familiar with certain rules). If you start working now - you'll be working illegally which will put you in violation of your study permit. This could result in your study permit being revoked and you being forced to leave Canada. We've also seen several PGWP refused recently due to illegal work - looks like CIC is starting to take a much harder line with those who work illegally. You'll be jeopardizing your future in Canada if you work before your classes begin. Of course - your life and your choice.
