Enter first time with work/student visa during immigration restrictions against COVID-19 outbreak

Hi,

I have gone through the government immigration website but one thing isn't clear is whether someone can enter first time with valid work/student visa.

Anyone have clarity on this?

All explained here although you maybe want to check with your college if you were planning a May course start whether that will still go ahead or be deferred. Keep in mind as well the rule about not working until classes start still stands and even then nobody knows when anyone will be recruiting again as a lot of businesses have shutdown and some may not open again.

Also if you do come be prepared for the mandatory 14 day isolation on arrival

Would make sure you still have a job if you arrive as well. You may arrive and be told to remain at home unpaid.
