EMP Location Change in Closed Work Permit

Hello Everyone,

Currently, I have a work permit with location - Toronto. I got another assignment in Calgary and I have to join by Oct-4th.

Could anybody please let me know the procedure to change the location in the Work Permit?

Is that a simple process?

I take it that by a "closed work permit" you mean it specifically lists your employer and location.

If you are not changing your employer but just transferring to another site you may just have to pay to amend the TWP (but check with the CIC helpline before you do anything)

If you are changing employer the new employer will have to apply for a new LMO then once that arrives you apply for a new TWP.
